"Wow. Amazing views, terrain, nice elevation, healthy wildlife in abundance!!! The trails were recently redone (2026) and are extremely clear and well marked, including many maps throughout. The Weis parking lot gives you a nice 2 (or 3 if you extend) hour loop that includes the high point. We did the 3hr loop in 2hrs. There was a random small “parking lot” nearby (like 2 mins) that got us confused and wasted our time. Don’t go there. Idk about the multiple other parking lots but we ended up going to Weis parking lot near the pool. Then go up to the left (past the houses) to get to the trails. There was a helpful guide at the beginning which was unexpectedly a good surprise. One small annoyance was small jets constantly flying low overhead. Also there was a carved names tree that had two swastikas on it ( unsettling weird place to put one tbh keep your messed up worldviews out of ppls hikes). There’s a unique public pool nearby that charges like 25$ a day (it’s like if a lake married a pool and had a kid. Legit see it and you’ll understand lol) Me and my friend didn’t find any ticks on ourselves as of one day after the hike! (Supposedly 2026 is a bad tick year)"

"Maybe the best hiking spot in New Jersey. Waterfalls. Babbling brooks. Bears. Snakes. Birds. Rock scrambles. 360° views. Get here early on weekends, as the parking areas fill up quickly."

"Trails were recently replaced and some were closed or rerouted. They do have updated maps posted along the trail. Trail is very rocky so supportive shoes are recommended. Trails are nicely marked though there are a few sections that are had to navigate. The mine is only open April-August. The opening to the mine is a very small opening. Some very nice views. Can also see the NY skyline on a clear day."

"Very nice area, the trails are clearly marked and easy to read maps posted at intersections. Will recommend! Note: with the fallen leaves, it makes the trails a little slippery even if it’s not wet so just be a little more careful especially on inclines"
